Disco Glitter

Disco Glitter brings back the excess of the 1970s discotheque. Warm golden tones, deep ambers and colours that almost seem to pulse. This is not a subtle adjustment, it is a deliberate look that gives a photo a distinct character from the first glance. You know immediately what you are looking at.

The preset pushes warm tones upward in the shadows and midtones, pulling everything toward amber and gold. Highlights take on a soft cream glow, as if lit by a spinning mirrorball overhead. The contrast is present but not aggressive. Shadows stay open and readable, they do not collapse into black. Reds, oranges and yellows are amplified, while blue tones are pulled back and warmed. The result breathes heat and shimmer without losing detail in the process.

Disco Glitter works best when colour and light are already doing something in the frame. Portrait and fashion shots with golden reflectors or warm artificial light. People at a party, in a bar or under coloured lamps. Outfits with metallic fabric, sequins or gold. Street photography at night, when yellow streetlights fall across wet pavement. The preset amplifies what is already there. It needs something to work with.

You reach for Disco Glitter when you want a photo that does not hold back. When the mood is already warm and alive, but the RAW file has not fully captured that energy yet. Or when you want to carry a deliberate retro style across an entire series, with one consistent colour world running through it. The preset also works as a pure style choice, for photos you want to make consciously extravagant.

One practical note: Disco Glitter is calibrated for well-exposed images. With darker frames or flat lighting the warmth can feel heavy. In that case, nudge the Exposure slider up before applying the preset, or bring the Tint slider a few points toward green afterward. That keeps skin tones readable and the colours balanced across the whole frame.
