Export

Exporting is creating a new, shareable file from your edited photo, usually a JPEG for web or a TIFF for print. You set the size, color space, compression and sharpening. It's the final step where your edit gets 'baked' into a finished file.

Choose your export settings to match the destination: sRGB and a long edge around 2048 pixels for web, full resolution and Adobe RGB for print. Turn on the right output sharpening (screen or matte/glossy paper), because it makes a real difference. Save export presets so you don't have to set everything up each time. Always keep your original or catalog, because the exported file is an end product, not a working file.
