Installing presets in Lightroom Classic: step by step
Lightroom Classic offers two ways to install presets: via the import dialog or by manually placing files in the correct folder. The first method is simpler; the second gives more control over folder structure.
Method 1: import via Lightroom
Open Lightroom Classic. Go to the Develop module (D). Click the plus sign (+) next to "Presets" in the left panel. Choose "Import Presets". Navigate to your XMP file and click "Import". The preset now appears in your preset panel.
Method 2: copy manually
Locate the Lightroom presets folder on your system. On Mac: ~/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Lightroom/Develop Presets/. On Windows: %AppData%/Adobe/Lightroom/Develop Presets/. Create a new subfolder for the preset pack and copy the XMP files there. Restart Lightroom.
After installation you can search for presets via the search bar at the top of the preset panel. Type the name or a keyword to quickly find what you need.
