Office light is tricky. Fluorescent tubes, recessed spots, daylight from the windows and a desk lamp somewhere in the background combine into a mix that quickly turns orange or flat on camera. This preset is built to fix that. No dramatic look, no style statement. Just clean, neutral and tidy.

The preset tempers the warm cast that overhead office lighting almost always produces. It cools the midtones slightly, corrects the yellow-green tint that fluorescent light leaves in whites and greys, and tightens the overall exposure. Shadows stay readable without being pushed up artificially. White walls stay white. Grey floors and desk surfaces keep their texture instead of collapsing into undifferentiated grey. The contrast is subtle but present, just enough to preserve a sense of depth and space in the image.

This preset works best in office spaces, meeting rooms, open-plan work areas and corporate reception areas. It also suits coworking spaces with mixed lighting, showrooms with ceiling fixtures or any interior where the colour temperature shifts from one area to the next. You reach for it when shooting architecture, corporate reportage, commercial real estate photography or editorial work for company websites and business magazines. You choose this preset when auto white balance falls short and dialling it in during the shoot was not practical. Or when you know the location has mixed light and you do not want to correct an entire series frame by frame. It gives you a reliable starting point that holds up across most office environments, even when the conditions varied slightly between rooms.

A practical tip: apply the preset, then check the white balance. Depending on how strong the fluorescent light was in your specific location, you may want to shift the temperature slider by a few hundred Kelvin. Start with temperature, not tint. That gives you the most control without undoing what the preset already corrected.
