Attention is not a filter. It is a way of looking. This preset translates that into colour and light: warm, close, with a softness that still feels exact. The golden shift in the highlights gives skin a living quality rather than a polished surface. Shadows fall gently but hold depth. The result feels familiar, as if the photo was always meant to look this way.

Technically, Attention moves the highlights toward warm amber while keeping the midtones slightly lifted. Shadows are not crushed to black but retain texture and colour. Skin tones sit in a range that responds well to this palette: not too red, not too yellow, but warm enough to feel present. The contrast is there, but quiet. You see it in the eyes, in the folds of a jacket, in the light landing on a cheek.

This preset works best for portraits where a person's face or presence is central to the frame. Available light indoors, soft overcast skies outside, candlelight, or the warm period just after sunset all pair well with it. It fits intimate situations: a conversation you're photographing, a moment of stillness, someone who isn't posing but simply there. Street portraiture works too, especially when there is human closeness in the frame.

A practical tip: adjust your exposure in Lightroom before applying the preset. Attention responds most predictably to correctly exposed files. If your photo is half a stop underexposed, bring it up first. That way the preset does what it is supposed to do, without you having to pull back the warmth afterwards because the highlights have gone too far.
