Treasure sounds like a record you're hearing for the first time but somehow already know. Warm orange tones, deep brown midtones, a slightly worn texture that feels like vinyl. The preset brings out something that modern photos often lack: character. Not the artificial retro of a filter, but an atmosphere that feels like a sunny Saturday afternoon in the 1970s.

Technically, Treasure shifts the midtones toward orange and amber while keeping the shadows from collapsing entirely. Highlights are pulled back slightly, creating a softer glow in brighter areas of the frame. Contrast stays present but never feels harsh. Greens shift subtly toward yellow, which warms skin tones and gives outdoor scenes a drier, more vintage quality. It is not a dramatic transformation, but it is a distinct one.

Portraits in natural light work particularly well with this preset. Think golden hour sessions, cafés with warm artificial light, or outdoor shots against orange and brown backgrounds. Street photography in warm cities, markets, and older neighborhoods is a natural fit. People with warmer skin tones really come through beautifully. You reach for Treasure when you want a photo to say something about feeling and time, not just about a single moment. When you are building a series with a warm, analog aesthetic. Or when a standard color profile simply does not feel right for a particular shot and you want something with more personality behind it.

A practical tip: adjust your exposure before applying the preset. Treasure performs best on photos that are already slightly overexposed, around one third to two thirds of a stop. That gives the warm tones more room to breathe and keeps the shadows from feeling too heavy.
