Curve (Capture One)

The Curve in Capture One is the software's most powerful contrast and colour tool. You bend a line running from shadows to highlights, deciding precisely how light or dark each tonal range becomes. Alongside the regular curve there's a Luma curve that adjusts brightness only, without changing saturation.

A gentle S-shape adds contrast: shadows down a touch, highlights up a touch. Working in the individual RGB channels lets you correct a colour cast or build a colour grade on purpose. The Luma curve is ideal when you want contrast without colours getting too loud. Tip: set anchor points on the tonal ranges you don't want to change, so your adjustment stays neatly local.
