Merge to HDR Pro

With Merge to HDR Pro, Photoshop combines several shots at different exposures into one image with a large dynamic range. That keeps detail in both the deep shadows and the bright highlights. It is meant for scenes with extreme contrast, like an interior with bright window light.

Make a bracket of, say, three to five shots from a tripod and choose File, Automate, Merge to HDR Pro. Photoshop aligns the images and offers tonemapping sliders to bring the dynamic range back to something your screen can handle. Keep it natural, overdone HDR with halos and screaming colors quickly looks artificial. Tip: for most situations HDR merge in Lightroom or Camera Raw gives a more realistic and faster result.
