Classic vs Cloud
Lightroom Classic and Lightroom (Cloud) are two different Adobe programs. Classic is the comprehensive desktop version with a catalog and folder management on your own drive; the Cloud version keeps your photos in the cloud and syncs them across all your devices. For deep management you choose Classic, for flexible working anywhere the Cloud version.
Classic has the most features and modules and is the choice for anyone working with a large, local archive. The Cloud version is simpler and tidier, and you pick up on your phone where you left off on your laptop. Presets and edits work in both, but the file and folder management differs considerably. Tip: if you're unsure, start with Classic if control over your files matters to you.
