Presets (Lightroom)
A preset in Lightroom is a saved set of editing settings you apply to a photo in one click. You choose a look and Lightroom moves the sliders for exposure, contrast, colour and more right away, which you can still adjust afterwards. Presets are ideal for working fast and consistently across a whole series.
You find presets in the preset panel on the left of the Develop module, and you can hover over them to see the look live on your photo. A good preset is a starting point, not an endpoint: after applying, always match exposure and white balance to your own photo. You install presets by importing a folder of .xmp files via the plus in the preset panel. Tip: apply a preset to your whole selection via sync, then fine-tune per photo, that's the fastest route to a consistent series.

The presets on this site set these adjustments up for you as a starting point, which you then fine-tune to taste.
