This preset is inspired by the musical atmosphere of Katy Perry: bold, playful, unapologetically saturated. The moment you apply it, the photo shifts into something that feels like a summer dream slightly too bright to be real. That is exactly the point.

On a technical level, the preset pulls the blue tones cold and clear, giving skies, shadows and cool surfaces an almost neon-like clarity. Pink tones become simultaneously warmer and softer, like a pastel crayon held a little too long against the page. The contrast is present but not harsh. Highlights are gently pulled back to preserve that airy, candy feel, while shadows are lifted just enough to keep the image from getting heavy. Saturation and vibrance are both increased, but with focus. The preset targets the hues that contribute most to the candy-pop effect, so the result reads as intentional rather than accidental.

The preset works best when colour is already part of the story. Think portraits in bright summer clothing, locations with pastel-coloured walls or graphic backgrounds, product shots in pink or blue packaging, or lifestyle photography where you want to amplify energy and playfulness. It also performs well at events with neon lighting or confetti. On neutral palettes or earth tones it has less to work with, because it needs colour to build on.

When your photos could use more personality, more confidence in colour, this preset delivers that without you having to move every slider yourself. It also works well as a starting point for your own variation, if you want to dial back the saturation or soften the blue cast slightly.

After applying the preset, try lowering the saturation of the blue hue channel by five to ten points if the sky feels too artificial. Then go to the HSL panel and increase the luminance of pink by a similar amount. That keeps the sweet, pastel quality intact while giving skin tones and backgrounds a little more room to breathe.
