It draws its character from the kind of amateur rugby played on British fields in February, where the score matters less than the effort it took to get through ninety minutes in the cold. That feeling is baked into every slider.

Technically, the preset lifts shadows just enough to keep texture visible without washing out the blacks. Deep shadow stays deep, but the detail in a muddy boot or a crumpled collar remains readable. Highlights are pulled back, which suits the flat, overcast light that defines outdoor sport in northern Europe. Contrast lives in the midtones rather than at the extremes, giving the image weight without crushing it. Colours shift toward desaturation across the board, though warm tones like rust, orange-brown and dried mud hold their presence. Blues and greens fade.
