AI masks
AI masks in Lightroom automatically select parts of your photo, like the subject, the sky, people or objects. You choose in the masking panel what you want to select and Lightroom builds the mask for you, so you can edit there in a targeted way. It saves a huge amount of time compared to masking by hand.
Open the masking panel and pick 'Select sky' or 'Select subject', for example, and Lightroom works out the selection. You can then add, subtract and combine masks with brush and gradients for the finishing touch. Within a people mask you can even select parts like face, skin, eyes or clothing separately. Tip: combine a sky mask with a little dehaze and minus exposure for a deeper, more dramatic sky.
