People mask

The people mask in Lightroom automatically recognises people in your photo and lets you select parts per person: facial skin, body skin, eyes, lips, hair, clothing and more. So you edit the skin or eyes precisely without touching the rest. It's one of the most powerful AI masks for portraits.

Lightroom shows a list of parts per detected person that you can select separately or combined. For a natural portrait retouch 'facial skin' works nicely: a touch less texture and clarity softens skin without going plastic. With 'eyes' and 'lips' you give a portrait that little bit of extra life. Tip: use subtle adjustments, a light plus on the eyes and a minimal skin softening keep it real.
