Brush mask (Lightroom)
With the brush mask in Lightroom you paint a mask by hand exactly where you want to edit. You set size, feather and flow and brush over the image; your adjustments land only there. It's the most direct masking tool for local corrections.
Ideal for lifting, dampening or recolouring a spot the AI masks don't catch on their own. With 'auto mask' on, the brush stays neatly within edges of contrast. Keep the feather a bit higher for soft, invisible transitions. Tip: combine a brush with an AI mask by choosing 'subtract', so you wipe away parts that were accidentally included by hand.
