Radial gradient
The radial gradient in Lightroom lays a round or oval adjustment on your photo, with a soft fade toward the edge. You drag an ellipse over part of the image and edit inside or outside that shape. Perfect for drawing attention to one spot, like a face or flower.
You often use it to subtly lift a subject or dampen its surroundings instead, like a soft spotlight. With the 'invert' option you choose whether you edit inside or outside the ellipse. A generous feather makes the transition invisibly soft. Tip: a light radial gradient with a touch of extra exposure around your subject works like a natural vignette that guides the eye.
