History panel

The history panel shows in Lightroom Classic every editing step you've made on a photo, from top (most recent) to bottom (first). You can click any step to jump back to that point in your edit. Because Lightroom works non-destructively, the whole history is preserved.

Handy for seeing exactly what you've done, or to go back a few steps without undoing everything. Unlike a snapshot the history is linear: if you go back and edit on, the part after that is dropped. The history is kept per photo in the catalog. Tip: use snapshots to lock in important points, because the history can be cleared later to tidy up your catalog.
