Frame rate
Frame rate is the number of images per second in your video, expressed in fps. 24 fps gives the familiar cinematic look, 25 or 30 fps is common for TV and web, and 50 or 60 fps allows smooth slow motion. It determines how motion comes across to your viewer.
Choose your frame rate at the recording stage if you can, because switching afterward can cause stuttery footage. In DaVinci Resolve, Premiere Pro and Final Cut Pro you set the project's frame rate and place your clips on it. For smooth slow motion you film at a high frame rate and play it back at a lower one. Tip: keep your shutter speed at roughly double your frame rate, which gives natural motion blur.
