HDR video (PQ/HLG)
HDR video shows a much larger range between dark and light and brighter colors than regular video. The two common standards are PQ (mainly for streaming) and HLG (mainly for broadcast). On an HDR screen this gives deeper black, brighter highlights and more life in your image.
For HDR you grade in a larger color space and on a real HDR monitor, because your regular screen can't show the range. In DaVinci Resolve you set your project to PQ or HLG and deliver according to the platform's requirements. Keep in mind you'll often also need a Rec.709 version for screens without HDR. Tip: only start HDR once you have a calibrated HDR monitor, otherwise you're grading blind.
