Color Space Transform

A Color Space Transform accurately converts your image from one color space to another, for example from a log profile to Rec.709. Unlike a fixed LUT it adapts to your exact source and target. It's the cleaner, more flexible way to translate color spaces.

In DaVinci Resolve, Color Space Transform is a dedicated effect you put on a node, where you choose input and output precisely. Because it converts mathematically, you often get a more neutral result than with a ready-made conversion LUT. Use it at the start of your grade to set your log footage correctly. Tip: pick the right input gamma and gamut that match your camera, otherwise the conversion won't be correct.
