Healing

Healing removes spots and blemishes by having the software borrow a nearby patch and blend it in seamlessly. Unlike cloning, healing automatically matches the tone and color of the target area. It's perfect for dust spots, pimples or small distractions.

Click or drag over the spot and the software finds a fitting source area, which you can then drag if the match isn't right. Keep the brush size just slightly larger than the spot for the cleanest blend. For skin, healing works beautifully to remove small blemishes without flattening the texture. If your spot sits against an edge or transition, cloning can sometimes work better, because healing can smear there.
