Color balance (Photoshop)
With Color Balance you shift colors separately in the shadows, midtones and highlights in Photoshop. Three sliders push toward cyan/red, magenta/green or yellow/blue. It is an intuitive way to build mood and color grading.
Add Color Balance as an adjustment layer and first choose the tonal range you want to steer, like the shadows. Push those toward blue and the highlights toward yellow for a classic warm-cool cinematic balance. Keep Preserve Luminosity on so the brightness does not shift. Tip: work in small steps per tonal range, so your transitions stay believable.
