Layer group

A layer group is a folder where you bundle related layers to stay organized. You can move, hide or mask the whole group at once. In big files with many layers it is indispensable.

Select a few layers and press Ctrl+G to put them in a group. Add a layer mask to the group and it affects all the layers inside at once, handy for blending in an entire edit in one go. Name groups like retouching, color or skin for a tidy structure. Tip: you can also nest groups inside each other for more complex composites.
