Offset
Offset shifts the entire image at once, shadows, midtones and highlights together. It's like moving the foundation of your tonal range rather than one part. Handy for setting white balance or overall brightness in a single move.
In DaVinci Resolve Offset has its own wheel next to Lift, Gamma and Gain, often with a master ring for brightness. Use Offset early in your correction to set your base, then fine-tune with the other wheels. Tip: pull your image neutral with Offset first and watch your RGB parade, so you instantly see if one color dominates. That gives you a clean start.
