Silence: ten presets for calm in your images

Not every photo needs colour that shouts. Sometimes it's the calm that makes an image strong: plenty of white, little saturation, a shadow that stays soft rather than hard. So here is Silence: ten presets that bring quiet into your images, not more noise.

Ten shades of calm

Every preset in Silence chooses restraint over fullness. From airy and hushed to dark and withdrawn, from a dreamy haze to true black and white. They share the same base: low saturation that never turns grey or dead, and skin that stays natural even as the rest of the image pulls back. You will find the whole pack on the Silence pack page.

Two favourites

Breathing Room is the airiest of the ten: plenty of white, a soft lifted shadow, space for the subject to breathe. Good for an interior, a still life, or a portrait that would rather rest than stand out.

Want the opposite? Withdrawn is the darkest and most introspective preset in the pack. A warm shadow, restrained light, for a moment that turns inward rather than outward.

For when you let the image do the work

Silence is for anyone who has noticed that a photo sometimes gets stronger through what you take away, not what you add. Interior photography, quiet portraits, still life, or just a series that calls for calm instead of noise. The presets work in Lightroom and Capture One, and you control the strength yourself so the quiet fits your photo.

See Silence and let your image speak for itself.
