Halloween: eight spooky presets for around the 31st
Halloween runs on mood: a carved pumpkin on the doorstep, a garden in the mist, kids working their way down the street with a flashlight. That kind of light is hard to fix with a plain edit, so here is Halloween: eight presets for that one spooky month of the year.
Eight moods, one atmosphere
Every preset in this pack stands for a different kind of spooky. From a classic horror grade with cool teal in the shadows to a sickly green cast that never sits right. They share the same base: true, deep blacks, restrained highlights and a grainy, filmic edge, so the image never feels flat or digital. You will find the whole pack on the Halloween pack page.
Two favourites
Night Shade is the classic one: cool teal in the shadows, a warm orange glow on skin and light sources. Exactly the grade you know from horror films, but without your face vanishing into the dark.
Want something warmer? Pumpkin Glow is its counterpart. The flickering, orange light of a carved pumpkin, cosy right at the edge of spooky. Good for a photo of the porch full of jack-o-lanterns, or just a portrait by candlelight.
For the last week of October
This pack is built for the weeks around the 31st: a portrait in a spooky costume, a street photo by a decorated door, or just a mood shot of the garden at dusk. Set the look and the photo gets the right atmosphere straight away, without turning ten sliders yourself.
Who it is for
Halloween is for anyone capturing something spooky this autumn, from a portrait photographer with a client in costume to a parent photographing the neighbourhood kids. The presets work in Lightroom and Capture One, and you control the strength yourself so the look fits your photo.
See Halloween and put the mood of the 31st on your photos.
