Technically, Campfire pulls the shadows deep and adds warmth to the midtones. The orange tones in your photo are amplified, while blues and greens are pushed back. Contrast is increased, but not harshly: skin detail stays visible and the transition from light to dark remains gradual. Highlights are slightly rolled back to avoid blown-out areas, so any light source in the frame keeps its natural glow rather than turning into a white patch.

The preset works best on photos that already contain a warm light source, such as campfire light, candles, lanterns, or golden-hour sun just before sunset. Think portraits in backlight, people gathered around a fire, city scenes with warm street lighting, or atmospheric interiors. Evening landscapes also respond well, as long as the scene has a clear light source that justifies the warmth.

A touch of underexposure gives the preset room to fully develop the atmosphere. Once you have applied it, nudge the exposure slider carefully to the right if things feel too dark.
