Batch / droplets

With batch processing you automatically apply an action to a whole folder of photos at once. A droplet is the same action packaged as a tiny program: drag your files onto it and Photoshop processes them. Together they save you hours on big series.

First create an action, then choose File, Automate, Batch to run it on a folder, including automatic save and close. You make a droplet via File, Automate, Create Droplet, handy for quickly processing files outside Photoshop. Always test your action on one photo before sending hundreds of files through the wringer. Tip: send the output to a separate folder, so your originals stay safe.
