Color Balance
The Color Balance tool in Capture One is its colour grading tool, letting you add colour separately to shadows, midtones and highlights. Colour wheels set the hue and strength for each tonal range. In a few moves you give your photo its own mood.
The classic film look of warm highlights and cool shadows is a snap here. You get a Master wheel for the whole photo plus three separate wheels for shadows, midtones and highlights. Drag out from the centre towards the colour you want and keep it subtle, because small shifts already do a lot. Tip: nail your white balance and contrast first, then Color Balance adds the fine finishing touch.
