HDR merge (Lightroom)

With HDR merge you combine several photos of the same scene at different exposures into one image with more dynamic range in Lightroom. You select your bracketing series, choose Merge Photos to HDR and Lightroom builds a new DNG from it. That way you keep detail in both the light and the dark parts.

Ideal for high-contrast scenes, like an interior with a bright window or a landscape at sunset. The result is a RAW-like DNG file you then edit on with all the sliders. With 'auto align' and 'deghost' you catch small movement between the shots. Tip: shoot your bracketing from a tripod and keep the steps around two stops apart for a clean result.
