Secondary correction
Secondary correction works on part of the image instead of everything at once. You isolate a skin tone, a sky or a single object and adjust color and brightness only there. It's how you steer precisely where primary correction can't reach.
Use secondaries after your primary correction is set, otherwise you're building on quicksand. You isolate an area with a qualifier (by color) or a power window (by shape), adding tracking if it moves. In DaVinci Resolve you do this on a separate node, in Premiere with a mask in Lumetri. Tip: keep adjustments subtle, because over-pushed secondaries stand out instantly.
