Nodes
A node is a separate editing step in DaVinci Resolve, a block in your grade where you do one thing. You chain nodes together, and each node works on the result of the one before it. That keeps your correction and your look neatly apart.
The beauty of nodes is that you can switch each step on, off or adjust it without breaking the rest. Put your primary correction on the first node, your secondaries on separate nodes after it, and your creative look apart again. Tip: name your nodes, because in a long chain you'll lose track fast. This node system is exactly why Resolve is so loved for grading.

The presets on this site set these adjustments up for you as a starting point, which you then fine-tune to taste.
