Vanishing Point
With Vanishing Point you edit in a plane that follows your photo's perspective, so retouching and copying stay neatly in that perspective. You first draw a grid on a wall or floor, for example, then clone and paste into it with the right distortion. Ideal for extending patterns, tiles or objects in perspective.
Choose Filter, Vanishing Point and draw a plane with the grid tool along your image's perspective lines. Inside that plane the clone stamp, the marquee and pasting automatically follow the perspective, so a copied piece of wall shrinks neatly into the distance. Handy for duplicating a window on a facade or extending a seamless texture. Tip: draw the grid as accurately as possible along the real lines, then the distortion works out by itself.
