Printworks looks like a photograph that went through a press. Not as a filter, but as a deliberate choice. The palette is stripped back to what matters: carbon-black shadows, a quiet indigo cast in the darks, and a muted crimson that surfaces wherever there is red in the scene. Set against an off-white ceiling on the highlights, everything gains weight. It is a graphic preset, firm in character, without being loud about it.

Technically, Printworks works through hard contrast. The deepest shadows drop close to black, while the highlights are pulled back on purpose. That off-white keeps bright surfaces from blowing out, so texture stays visible in skin, fabric and paper. The colour treatment is restrained but decisive: the blue shift in the shadows gives the image something of ink on paper. The crimson accent is not heavy-handed. It only draws attention when real reds are present in the frame, lips, clothing, neon signs.

A practical note: lower your exposure by a third of a stop before applying the preset. Printworks is strongest when the shadows already have some density rather than being empty. Overexposed frames lose the contrast that gives the preset its character. Expose for the highlights and let the preset handle the shadows.
