Dehaze (Capture One)

Dehaze in Capture One removes haze, mist and atmospheric murk from your photo, bringing back contrast and colour. You'll find the slider in the Dehaze panel and push it up to see through the haze. A colour picker lets you set what colour the haze was, for a more natural result.

Especially on landscapes shot on a hazy day, Dehaze lifts the image: distant mountains turn crisp again and the sky gains depth. Pull the slider left instead and you add atmospheric haze for a softer mood. Too much Dehaze quickly makes the sky dark and unnatural, so keep it subtle. Tip: use Dehaze on a layer with a mask over just the background, so your foreground stays nicely natural.
