Creative LUT (look)
A creative LUT lays a color mood over your image in one go, a ready-made look. Unlike a technical LUT it doesn't correct but adds atmosphere, like a warm film look or a cool thriller. It's your fastest starting point for a grade.
Apply a creative LUT after your image is technically correct, so after your correction or a technical LUT. Don't expect it to land perfectly everywhere, because every shot is different, so adjust exposure and intensity afterward. In DaVinci Resolve, Premiere Pro and Final Cut Pro you load it easily and can often control the strength. Tip: use a LUT as a starting point and fine-tune yourself, so your image never looks like a stock filter.
