Structure

Structure is the slider in Capture One that boosts or softens the very finest detail in your photo. Where Clarity tackles broader midtone contrast, Structure works on a much smaller scale, think fabric, hair and skin texture. The two sliders sit in the same Clarity panel.

Push Structure up to make texture in fabric, wood or landscape crackle. For portraits you'll often dial it back, because too much Structure emphasises pores and blemishes. Because Structure works very locally, it rarely creates the hard halos sharpening can. Tip: combine a touch of Structure with Clarity for depth, but mask the skin out on portraits so faces stay soft.
