Tethered capture
With tethered capture you connect your camera to Lightroom Classic by cable or wirelessly, so photos appear in your catalog right after you take them. You see each shot straight away large on your screen, perfect for judging sharpness, composition and exposure. It's especially handy in the studio and for product photography.
Start a tethered session via File, Tethered Capture, and choose your camera. You can have a preset or edit applied automatically to incoming photos, so you see a look right away. Working on a large screen lets you judge far better than the camera's little screen. Tip: set up a capture folder and naming at the start of the session, then your files are tidy from the off.
