Healing layer
A Healing layer in Capture One removes spots and blemishes by borrowing texture from a surrounding area and blending it in seamlessly. The software automatically matches the source's colour and brightness to the target spot. It's the tool for sensor dust, pimples and small distractions.
Brush the Heal tool over the spot you want gone and Capture One finds a suitable source area itself, which you can drag elsewhere if it's off. Because healing happens on its own layer, everything is non-destructive and adjustable afterwards. For larger or clearly recognisable elements the Clone layer sometimes works better. Tip: zoom to a hundred percent before healing so you can see whether the transition is truly invisible.
