Clone layer

A Clone layer in Capture One copies an area of your photo exactly to another spot, including colour and brightness. Unlike the Healing layer the source doesn't adapt, it's taken over literally. That makes it ideal for removing clearly recognisable distractions.

First pick a source area that matches in texture and light, then brush over the spot you want to replace. Because the source is copied one to one, Clone is more reliable than healing at edges or patterns, but you have to make sure light and colour match yourself. It happens on its own layer, so everything stays non-destructive. Tip: use Clone on hard edges and Healing on even areas like skin or sky.
